Formerly called Telindus High Tech Institute, it was founded more than 25 years ago. In tribute to the founding father of Telindus, it was renamed John Cordier Academy. As Telindus was acquired by the Belgacom group in January 2006, John Cordier Academy is now a subdivision of Belgacom group.
