Security training @ JCA

With the increase in security threats and professional exploitation by criminal organizations world wide, it is imperative to equip ICT professionals with up-to-date knowledge and real-world security skills to implement and manage safe corporate networks. John Cordier Academy provides you this training in different domains, helping you to keep abreast of the latest developments:

Independent technical training

Independent technical training: This training is mostly developed in-house and contains a large variety of courses, varying from basic courses to more advanced in-depth courses. Some highly appreciated courses are:

Learning Internet & intranet Security Fundamentals (LISF) Providing a decent base on which you can build on, this course will allow you to understand the key components and fundamental technologies involved in the process of designing,  implementing and maintaining a security infrastructure based on competence.
Hacking EXplained & Intrusion Detection (HEXID) Guides you into the multi-coloured world of “hacking”. Starting from scratch, you will soon start to look differently at your networking infrastructure. Step by step, we will take a clear look at the fascinating - sometimes criminal - life on the other side of your firewalls. Indeed, in order to stay secure, you need a fresh and stimulating awareness. Furthermore, the knowledge of hacking taxonomies will help you considerably with the configuration and understanding of intrusion detection systems.
Web application security 101 Is an intensive course providing the basic knowledge of modern web application security testing practices and preparing the attendees for further advanced training on the subject. The focus of the course is to identify most common web-based vulnerabilities exceeding those covered by  OWASP.  Additionally, the course is intended to briefly cover technology-specific web security problems in Flash, Flex, Java Applets, Java Servlets, Web Browsers and Browser Extensions.
